The following is not in today's show, but just some crap that I have had on my mind and wanted to share with those that care.

This is the first installment of a series of postings designed to get people thinking independently again. In this writer’s opinion, independent thinking is a concept long forgotten in contemporary American culture.
Hence, Welcome to Cool School

Here we won’t try to give you what you want to know, that you can find in the mainstream media, a forum we do not have the resources to compete with. Our job is to give you what you need to know to start to think for yourselves again. For some, sadly this will be a new experience, but better now than never.

Nearly five years after 9/11 we have not secured the borders, we have not secured the waterways and ports, we have not secured the airports, we have not secured our railways, we have not secured our nuclear facilities, and we have not secured public transportation, that is; cabs, subways, busses, school busses and highways. Don’t believe me? Click Here for the most current information in complicated government clatter that will confuse, amuse, confound and befuddle, but in the end, it all seems like a lot of money will be spent, a lot of promises will be made, a lot of energy expended, a lot of sacrifices made, a lot of news coverage given to the all money spent, all the promises made, all the energy expended and all the sacrifices made by the government on behalf of the American people.

The question I ask now, is do you feel safe? And who exactly should you feel safe from? Should you feel safe from a guy and or gal that lives on the other side of the border and in most cases the other side of the world separated by billions of gallons of sea water, barriers of culture, language, lifestyle, dress and education? Should you feel safe from a guy with foreign religious beliefs and practices?

Maybe, especially if you have not had the opportunity to understand what makes that guy and or gal, who they are and what makes them so different from you.

Perhaps, if you did have the time and opportunity to bridge the gaps of the differences between you and those other guys and or gals, you might not have to feel safe from those guys and or gals.

Or, should we feel safe from the guys and gals in the white house the senate and the congress that routinely fail to meet our fundamental expectations, concerning heath, education, and basic welfare. Should we feel safe from our government leadership that fails to accurately articulate a pre-plotted course of action to see that America meets its current goals of social responsibility to our growing senior population as well as the goals, expectations and basic welfare of our children and grandchildren?

Maybe, especially since most of those guys and gals have held their public posts of perks for many years without accomplishing what we sent them to their public posts of perks to accomplish. These guys and gals attribute their failures to partisan politics for their insignificant contributions to the public good.

The question I ask now is why not start with a fresh political slate during the next series of elections as we vote out every incumbent official and begin anew with a clear mandate for the overdue change of course this country needs, to get where we want to be. Be ye for democrat republican independent or libertarian, they all must go.

The last question I ask in this posting; is how do we find people on character, ethically grounded and of high moral quality? I’ll answer that on Monday. So stay tuned, this is Cool School baby and formal enrollment is not necessary, just show up at this blog every Sunday for class and you might leave cooler than you arrived
